1. Agreement and license
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of HUEO (the “App,” Chinese name “原画光年”). By downloading, purchasing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”), which also applies to the App. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict. Unless a separately reviewed custom EULA is expressly shown in App Store Connect, these Terms are not intended to replace Apple's Standard EULA.
2. What the App does
The App provides local video import, compatibility inspection, Log restoration, color processing, LUT and preset management, preview, and export features on supported Apple devices. It also provides video-to-Live-Photo creation and import of supported photos, videos, and Live Photo resources from user-authorized external-device directories into Photos. Feature availability can depend on the device, operating system, media format, hardware capability, App version, and active Pro entitlement.
App versions that include App Album can automatically organize newly saved Photos results into the “HUEO” or “原画光年” album when Full Photos Access is granted. The Privacy Policy describes the permission, identifiers, and local storage used for this feature.
3. Your content and responsibilities
- You retain ownership of videos, audio, photos, Live Photos, LUTs, presets, and other content you provide.
- You confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to process, reproduce, transform, and export that content.
- You are responsible for complying with copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, and other applicable laws.
- You must not use the App to process or distribute unlawful, infringing, malicious, or unauthorized content.
- You should keep independent backups of important source media. The App is a processing tool, not a backup or archival service.
4. Local processing and output
The App normally creates managed working copies and new exported files rather than intentionally modifying the source you selected. Processing can fail or be interrupted, and temporary or working files can be removed during cleanup, session replacement, recovery, or uninstallation.
Color appearance, brightness, metadata, playback, and compatibility can differ by display, player, operating system, codec, hardware, and downstream platform. You are responsible for reviewing exported output before professional, commercial, archival, or safety-critical use. The App does not certify compliance with any broadcaster, studio, camera-maker, color-science, or delivery standard.
External-device import reads within the directory you authorize and leaves source files unchanged. Available capture metadata may be retained in supported workflows; the App cannot reconstruct metadata missing from the source or guarantee that every downstream app displays it identically. Local diagnostics and optional support sharing are described in the Privacy Policy.
App-album organization is an additional step after a confirmed media save. It adds existing items to an album without duplicating media or changing capture metadata. Permission limits, system errors, unavailable items, queue limits, or closing the App may leave some saved results outside the album. An organization failure does not undo a completed media save, and the App does not automatically backfill past saves or guarantee completion after quitting. An album-only update is not another export and does not consume additional free-export allowance; a completed export remains counted even if its album organization is incomplete. Album reuse depends on local records and system availability. If those records are lost, a previously renamed album may not be recognized; reinstalling or using multiple devices may therefore result in another app album.
5. Free export allowance
Free users currently receive an allowance of 30 successful full-quality exports for the App family. A successful export is counted only after a completed file is delivered to the chosen destination. Failed, cancelled, and preview-only renders do not consume the allowance.
The allowance is recorded locally and may eventually synchronize among eligible devices through Apple's iCloud Keychain. Offline devices or delayed Keychain synchronization can temporarily show different remaining counts, and later reconciliation may reduce the displayed count. Reinstalling the App does not guarantee a reset. We may take reasonable measures to preserve quota integrity and prevent abuse, subject to applicable law.
6. Pro products
The App may offer monthly Pro, annual Pro, and Lifetime Pro through Apple StoreKit:
- Monthly and annual Pro: auto-renewing subscriptions that provide Pro features, including unlimited exports, while the verified entitlement remains active.
- Lifetime Pro: a one-time non-consumable purchase that provides Pro features for the supported lifetime of the App/product under the purchasing Apple account, subject to Apple's restore and availability rules.
The exact localized price, currency, billing period, tax treatment, eligibility, and any offer or trial are the terms shown by the App Store purchase interface at the time of purchase. These Terms do not promise a free trial. A trial or introductory offer applies only if Apple explicitly displays it to you and confirms your eligibility.
7. Subscription renewal and cancellation
Auto-renewing subscriptions are charged to your Apple account and renew unless cancelled through Apple's subscription settings within the period specified by Apple. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
8. Billing, refunds, restore, and Family Sharing
Apple processes purchases, billing, taxes, renewals, refunds, revocations, and payment disputes. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple. Use the App's Restore Purchases function to restore eligible purchases made with the same Apple account. Family Sharing is available only when Apple and the relevant App Store product explicitly support it; it is not otherwise promised.
9. Changes to features and commercial terms
We may improve, add, remove, or modify features, compatibility, free allowances for future users, and Pro offerings. Changes will not override verified purchase rights except as allowed by Apple terms and applicable law. Storefront prices and product availability may vary by region and are controlled through the App Store.
10. Acceptable use and platform integrity
You may not reverse engineer, circumvent purchase or quota controls, interfere with StoreKit verification, redistribute the App except as allowed by Apple, or use automated or deceptive methods to obtain unauthorized access, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot be restricted by contract.
11. Intellectual property and third-party names
The App, its software, interface, branding, and built-in original materials are owned by or licensed to the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Your license is limited to the rights granted by Apple's Standard EULA.
Apple, Canon, Fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, DJI, Insta360, and other product or company names are trademarks of their respective owners. References to cameras, Log formats, color spaces, or vendors describe technical compatibility only and do not imply sponsorship, certification, or endorsement.
12. Availability and support
We may provide updates, compatibility fixes, and support, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, or indefinite support for every device or operating-system version. Apple services, iCloud, App Store availability, and third-party media formats can affect the App independently of us.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have. The warranty provisions of Apple's Standard EULA also apply.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, source media, revenue, business, or expected results arising from use of or inability to use the App. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent permitted by mandatory law and the Standard EULA.
15. Suspension and termination
Your license can end if you materially breach these Terms or the Standard EULA. Upon termination, stop using and delete the App. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—continue to apply.
16. Applicable law
These Terms are governed and interpreted subject to the applicable-law and jurisdiction provisions in Apple's Standard EULA and any mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of rights that cannot be waived by contract.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, commercial model, Apple requirements, or law. Revisions are posted here with a last-updated date and take effect when published, unless a later effective date is stated. Descriptions of a feature apply to App versions that include it. Where required, material changes apply only after appropriate notice or consent.
